B.E. - Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering, established in 2008, has rapidly evolved into a leading center of excellence, expanding its intake from 60 to 120 due to exceptional academic performance and infrastructure development. The program emphasizes strong theoretical foundations, practical exposure, and research opportunities, preparing students for dynamic roles in construction management, structural analysis, and environmental engineering.
In 2013, the department introduced an M.Tech in Structural Engineering to meet the demand for advanced expertise in structural analysis and design. Additionally, the establishment of a research center in 2014 under VTU Belagavi has further propelled the department as a hub for scholarly research, with over 200 technical papers published by faculty and students.
Graduates of the program have secured placements in top construction firms and pursued higher studies in prestigious institutions globally. The department also actively promotes co-curricular and extracurricular activities, ensuring holistic development and industry readiness.
