The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a two-year technical program designed to provide essential knowledge and practical skills in pharmaceutical sciences and drug management. The curriculum includes core subjects such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical chemistry, ensuring students gain comprehensive insights into drug composition, therapeutic effects, and patient care practices.
The program includes hands-on training in drug dispensing, prescription handling, and medication counseling, preparing students to work in hospital pharmacies, retail drug stores, and community healthcare centers. The course also lays a strong foundation for those intending to pursue higher education in pharmacy, such as the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register as pharmacists and practice under a licensed pharmacist or in pharmaceutical establishments as per regulatory guidelines.
