The Bachelor of Science in Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology is a 3-year Allied Health Science undergraduate program designed to equip students with the skills required to support anesthesiologists and surgeons in clinical and surgical environments. The program includes theoretical learning and hands-on training in administering anesthesia, preparing and maintaining operating theatres, managing surgical equipment, and assisting during and after surgeries.
Students are trained in subjects like anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, anesthesia technology, surgical procedures, and patient monitoring. They also learn how to handle emergencies, maintain sterile conditions, and operate complex medical equipment like anesthesia machines, ventilators, and monitoring systems.
