The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy is a 3-year undergraduate program (often with an additional 6–12 months of internship) designed to prepare healthcare professionals skilled in evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing difficulties and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Students gain comprehensive knowledge in human anatomy, respiratory physiology, and pathophysiology, alongside hands-on training in administering oxygen therapy, managing mechanical ventilation, conducting pulmonary function tests, and handling emergency airway procedures. The course also includes training in ICU settings, critical care units, and emergency departments.
